First of all I want to ask, if it is possible to upload unlimited number and size of videos to youtube ? if not we have to buy video sharing hosting service. How much does it cost , I mean normal one, with unlimited bandwidth and etc. Thank you
i had just made a video hosting site for a client lolpole.com you need a dedicated server for it if you have a small site , hen a vps would be sufficient, if you need large space then a dedicated one with many TB of hard disk and unmetered bandwidht is needed, it will go to about 120$ something Regards
If you ask me - you must need a dedicated server with 1TB HDD 24GB RAM 1gbps x 50TB (You don't need unmetered BW high cost server because in these days you can share bandwidth and loads too. Which makes your site far good. I have personal site with video streaming (Not a Tube it's a blog) and have like 10K per month now. And only use under 20TB - because I carry over the BW on other servers even CPU Loads ) Processor: i3 Minimum This kind of server + the tech cost you like under 200$. i ran file sharing website with dedicated server first i boght limited BW but it was my mistake than i changed server to another dedicated provider with unlimited BW 4tb HDD 24gb ram i5 processor and other config. i had 20k+ daily visits and 1000+ uploaders they used around 500gb in just few days coz i gave him unlimited upload with 2gb max file size
aaa... i think we are talking about here video hosting not file sharing. Second there is NOTHING UNLIMITED! that's a LIE. must be has 100TB or More BW but can't UNLIMITED. Third in file sharing you can auto remove un-downloadable files but not here. Forth - you don't need unlimited BW if you can manage bandwidth using on files sharing called multi-server guess you hard about it. Thank You
sometimes it's called unmetered.it means they don't clearly means they don't care about the bandwidth. But the limit is the internet speed.
Basically unmetered depends on speed not the uses. But that not clearly unlimited. If you using unmetered and you using too much bandwidth - you feel the site getting slow. But unlimited guaranteed whatever you do with the resources we have limit less resources of bandwidth and never getting it slow down even using after high amount of bandwidth every second. - Which is clearly not existed. That's also another reason why these files sharing site falls. First they make limit on free members speed but didn't put limit on paid members. Seventh Files sharing owners get pissed of and complains against the DC again and again. Eight DC turned of or suspend servers for unknown reason or using too much IP transfer per second. Nine - File sharing owners get server less and clients less. Tenth - Another file sharing site get fall again. Yes, i should accept that. But some of the file sharing services have bandwidth for the premium members. Daily bandwidth actually. By the way, here he want video hosting server. he is going to make a new site i guess, so his visitors are going to be less for now. Unmetered or metered,anything should be good.

dude you need a whole cluster of servers. Firstly you need servers that store the video, secondly you need servers that covert the videos into the appropriate format and lastly you need servers that will generate new sites. Lots of load balancing etc. Your best bet at this point is to get the most powerful dedicated server there is.The more cores and ram the better. You will also need a CDN which downloads the content off your server and stores it on lots off different servers all around the world which will help you take the load off your server.
