Selling Video Hosting Website - $16,000 Revenue p/m - 100,000 Visitors Per Day

VidHog is a free to use video hosting website which is currently generating revenue of around $16,000 per month!  The idea behind VidHog is simple; people will upload videos, share them with other people.  Uploaders get paid for uploading per the amount of views they get on their video as an incentive.

    Profit/Revenue
Adsense - The main revenue stream on VidHog is Google Adsense.  Google Adsense ads are shown on the video page.  Before users can view a video, they must proceed through various pages which all include Adsense ads.
Google Adsense is generating on average around $360 per day, and around $11,000 per month.

Premium Account Sales - Users can upgrade their user accounts to premium accounts for a set charge per the amount of time they want.  Premium accounts offer advantages such as faster download speeds, no download delay, and unlimited storage.
Premium account sales currently average at around $200 per day, and $6,000 per month.

AdPerium - This is another, alternative advert company utilized by VidHog.  It is very similar to Google Adsense.
AdPerium is generating an average of $50 per day, and $1,500 per month.
Overall, revenue can average around $18,500 per month.

    Now to the expenditure...

As you can imagine, file hosting websites need many servers to host the files on.

Monthly Server Payments - VidHog currently has 8 servers associated with it totaling to around $3,500 per month.  However, I am sure servers could be found for cheaper at an alternative hosting company.

'Pay Per View' Affiliate Payments - Uploaders get paid per the amount of video views they generate. On average, affiliate payments can reach around $1,500 per month.

Overall, expenditure can average around $5,000 per month.

This then means that PROFIT will average at around $13,500 per month.

    Why I am selling?
I am planing a new project with my partner, and we will need all the capital we can get.  Most of the money from the sale of VidHog will be going towards another project of ours.

How much work needs to be put in?
Usually, there is around 10-30 support emails to answer per day.  Although it doesn't take long at all; it usually takes on longer than 10-20 minutes.  You will also have to send affiliate payout requests, which there is only a few per day, so that doesn't take long at all.  Other than that, there is not really much more that needs done.

The profit VidHog has been making has been increasing all the time, and it is showing no indications that profit will be going down.  This would be a great website to invest in if you are looking for a long term earner with unlimited potential.

I have added various different attachments as proof of earnings ect.  If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Nice site, but...

Your business model is that you pay your uploaders by views where your income is generated by adsense views on the same pages?

Don't get me wrong, the site is great but i am not sure adsense is the right advertiser for this.

Google always told us that they want adsense on sites which have a significant source of "organic" traffic - aka SERPs traffic.
Your site is mainly based on referring links, right? Google disables sites and accounts normally after some time
which generate income mainly by non organic traffic.

Again: no offence, the idea and implementation is great - but in my opinion you need a premium adsense status
with google to ensure and save your account and ensure that google will stay with you. Or iam wrong?

Do you have a plan B? Is there another advertiser where you would say this site would work?

Sorry for that critical words, but well, in that income regions we should talk about it.

    Hi,

I have never heard that one before. You don't need mostly organic traffic to quality for Adsense. VidHog has been running on AdSense for a while now, and it has never had any problems at all with it, and I certainly do not expect any problems.

    Regards,
    Kieran

Occassionally, Google does review each site in it's adsense program to ensure it fits within what they deem "beneficial" to their advertisers. Not sure how they'll view this site if such a review is done. That being said it's a great concept but I'd have an alternative advertiser in the event Google slaps you. Trust me ... when they do it you won't be expecting it and you'll typically get a blanket response on why they did so and it's hard to get them to reverse the judgment once made so take the advice and have a Plan B for generating revenue.

One other thing, I like DP and all but for a site of this magnitude you won't get many offers for the price point you're searching for ... my advice would be to list this on flippa instead. Not knocking DP but from my experience you won't find many folks willing to fork over $150k for any site on here.

You've got a nice site there, mate, but I think Ramerika is right. If you look on DP, a lot of sites listed for "large amounts" (like $300 or more) are of a dubious nature, it's not really a big money market (although it's not to say some people on here don't have the funds). You would probably do better on a dedicated marketplace. Sites usually go for far more than they are worth on Flippa, too, so it should be an easy sell.

Also, I agree with Ramerika about Adsense. With a video site, there's also going to be copyrighted material, which is against Adsense TOS. Even if it's not on the same pages, you're at risk.

    Good luck!

Thanks for all those interested, and the comments, but I believe what you said is true; I'll goto Flippa or something instead.

    Thanks anyway though!

    Please pm me the following:

    1) Script
    2) Number of uploaders/is it spread out across a number of people or a few that might leave after you sell?
    3) Are these in-video ads or are they around the videos? Your ctr is pretty high and also you cpm.

Could you also please send me an exact breakdown of your server expenses?
