I administrate a website, www.nextgenboards.com that generates a large amount of impressions and around 100 clicks, but the outcome is poor. I've tried various ways to find out if video game keywords payed well, but can't seem to find out how. Anyone have any ideas?
Move your adds, having two big blocks at the top means people just scroll past them AND it puts people off visiting and joining your site. Insteas make sure your articles are a minimum of 250 words and integrate the square block adds into the text, float right tends to work well.
I only use adsense for a backup on a game website, go for CPM. Game niche is one of the lowest paying and if you try to target the more higher paying keyword you will have shity articles that visitors will not enjoy reading them.
Forget Adsense in the VG niche, focus on affiliate sales instead. You could easiely replace those poor converting, ugly Adsense ads (checked your board) with relevant affiliate products related to next gen machines and games.
I have a game site that make $0.01-$0.06 / click, doing poorly. Try high paying niches like 'computer software', 'student loan', ....
How come you are able to show 4 text ads on a single page . This is a clear violation .You are not allowed to show more than 3 text ads on a page. Remove at least one of them : http://www.nextgenboards.com/vb/rai...s/17529-rank-up-glitch-use-both-partners.html And I am afraid to say that gaming niche pays below average
I get around $0.04 - $0.80 per click in the games sector (Please remember video games is not a niche, neither is 'insurance' or 'medical') Take the rough with the smooth and base your content on more recent games that would have the advertisers bidding higher.
