Have you heard about the new OnLive gaming service? Not many people know about it since they have been SECRETLY working on it for the past 7 years lol. They just announced it less than a week ago. onlive basically lets you play games in high definition on almost any computer and tv without downloading! this will really change the future of video games. you can find more info here http://www.onlive1.com They plan to launch this winter so I am very excited.
I'm curious as to knowing what sort of control schemes will be implemented for OnLive? The main page is really just a forum.
You can use the OnLive controller or simply your keyboard and mouse. the mainpage has links to OnLive info in their navigation
Onlive is fairly old news, http://www.custompc.co.uk/news/605374/amd-plans-supercomputer-with-1000-gpus.html This was released a few months before OnLive come out. But still, it'll be sweet if they get it right. There will be huge technical bugs to overcome withing the first 2-3 months of it going live, no amount of planning will be able to stop some of the unforseen things that'll arise, aslong as they work at it and stick with it they'll earn their millions. Lots of people are ranting about it making PC gaming obsolete... Not a chance! People will still want to buy the latest hardwarez, just to show off to their mates in the very least, that and the fact that graphics designers, renderers etc wont be able to use OnLive until they come up with something for that too probably... And what about people who aren't online and want to play the latest games at high FPS with decent res? It's a good idea, groundbreaking even, but it's not going to be the be-all-or-end-all by any chance.
