I am going to make a video, which i am going to burn on a blank DVD.

I wish to play in a standard DVD player, which is connected to a TV and is in another city from me now(is not with me, so i cant check it)

What format should i save the Video in on the DVD, with my dvd software so it is most likley to play in the dvd player?
    (mp4, mpeg, wmv, mov) etc?

I can choose the format using the software, but just want it compatable with the dvd player - rather than it failing-not playing

I will burn the Video on the DVD using Nero.

in nero select write video dvd. in it many options are given to create new dvd. burning will take some time but will be converted directly to the compatible format. most compatible format is .vob
