    Adobe Premiere and Pinnacle Studio. That is the only video editing software that I have used.

    It all depends on what you are wanting to do.

    Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas might be the two best.

    If you do not want to use illegal software or free software that is hard to learn, you might look at Adobe Premiere Elements. It is like a lite version of the full Premiere and should work well why you are learning.

    premiere and after effects are the best you can get, if you have the money.
    if you are on a mac use final cut instead of premiere.

    if your using a mac, just use iMovie. it works great or you can purchase Final Cut Pro.
