Blender confuses the hell out of me, and I don't even know if it really classifies as video editing (it doesn't) but it could be integrated into special effects. In that case, Voodoo might help with tracking.
I recommend AVS Video Editor. Very easy to use, simple and fast enough for casual use. Just googling it..
According me, CyberLink PowerDirector is best and free video editing software. Also, It can combine numerous clips and soundtracks in a advanced range of video formats into cine projects, or build an entire production out of a single clip.
For free you can use movie maker, you can also use ULED pack,it is free but may be not with special effect.
Actually I'm not so much expert about video editing but I have used Ulead studio pro 7 for my personal use.
