    You can also try Sony Vegas. It is very easy to learn and a functional demo download is available on their site.

    Adobe Premiere CS4 or any other version will do quite easy for you, if you want free you can always download the Trial from their official adobe site, it will be a 30 day trial only but it will do what you want.

    as a editor i don't recommend using movie maker, but since its free it may be your best choice for a long term thing.

    Windows movie maker has a slow motion feature. When you save the final product, make sure you select best fit to file size, and then increase the file size to the largest it will go up to. This will increase the bitrate and improve the quality of the video.

    I have used the windows movie maker slow motion feature on several videos, and it works just fine.
