Video Content -- Real versus Animated

I am thinking about adding some video content to my extreme sports products retail sales website.

I have seen a lot of discussion on this subject that video content is becoming more and more important in converting visitors into buying customers.

I was wondering what folks thought about the difference between having a real person in the video versus using one of the animated video tools currently available.

Being an extreme sports nut myself I think real video would be more effective esp. in your industry - extreme sports.

I would really love to put some real video up on my website because, like you, I think it would fit well into my niche market. I offer incentives for video testimonials on my products. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of traffic coming to the website and consequently not many sales.

Since I can't get the real video, I was considering putting up some animated stuff that might catch people's attention and get them to buy.

    Does that make sense?
