Video Codes - Legal or Not?

I've had some requests to add video codes to one of my sites. I've searched the web and 99.9% of the video code sites out there leech from Yahoo! I've read Yahoo!'s TOS and couldn't find any info on whether or not they allow this type of use. Is it legal to link to Yahoo!'s video files?

 

I heard it's not legal. I believe the owner of the MVScript got a C&D letter from Yahoo a while back.

 

No wonder their site is down. I wonder if Yahoo! is going to crack down on all the sites leeching their codes.

 

Im pretty sure yahoo has good enough programers to write something that bans any requests for their videos that come from another server?

 

You'd think so, but their codes are being leeched all over the web.

It's not legal, i've noticed on Internet sites that removed the Yahoo codes because of "copyright issues".

 

I don't think that 's legal either. Better be carefull with that.

 

Using other people's stuff without permission is never legal.
