Video ad integration and sizing help

I have seen a few video ads integrated nicely into blogs and websites, but for me, the sizes of the ads are completely wacky. they don't follow and normal dimensions of any ad blocks, or coded in spaces for ads.
so how then, since they don't give you enough code to adjust the sizes like a normal You Tube video, do you fit these in ?

Is there a way to adjust the dimensions that I am not seeing?

Why would Google/Adsense/You Tube do this so that they do not conform to normal ad dimensions ?

This is like the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Who has a 400x415 sidebar ?

Has anyone with a blog been able to successfully integrate the video ads in without recoding the template?

The videos come out a weird size don't they? You have to type out the dimension as it should be at the very top of the code: i.e 250x60 and then near the bottom of the code, you will find this size again, but you have to swap the figures around this time to 60x250. I was getting strange mis-shaped videos when I was embedding YouTube videos on various blogs and then I tried this and it worked fine.:)

Thanks Ryan, but i was speaking of the You Tube Video Ads thru adsense. They don't give dimensions to change, you are stuck with the sizes they give and the sizes suck.

I'm sure there must be a way to sort this. I remember playing around with those units and I ended up giving up after a good waste of god knows how many hours.

Probably best to pose the question here buddy...
