Recently, on Sedo, I saw a ton of traffic hit one of my domain names (from 0 people a day, to 50). I was thrilled, but had no idea what was going on. I typed the domain name in to Google, and saw the domain name on this page with a link to a recent filling: http://www.copyright.gov/onlinesp/list/w_agents.html Does anybody know what they are trying to do? Are they going to threaten me to get the domain name? It's a very generic domain name, I wish they would just offer me money for it. Thanks in advanced...
Ditto. I can direct you to a person who can tell you more (Domain Lawyer) If it's generic sounds like a reverse highjacking attempt.
sounds generic to me. no records in TESS (www.uspto.gov trademark search). They don't have a trademark for it. http://www.dnlist.com/Domain_Names/Legal_Resources/Lawyers/ I would recommend John Berryhill. Also I would recommend contacting Phillip Corwin, he's part of the ICA (http://www.internetcommerce.org) and perhaps explain your situation, maybe get a little press about it, people generally don't like seeing big corps taking from little guys and bullying them.
is there a reality show called worse roommate? Im assuming thats what they are researching...the title of a possible show...don't watch alot of tv so excuse me if there is a show out there...thats my speculation...they want to know if that domain can be taken
I'm glad I designed all these comps and logos a while back showing how I envisioned how the website will look like eventually...
