Vezeo Food and Travel - Scam?

Just curious if anyone has any experience with this site. They advertise regularly on Craigslist (e.g., http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/wri/510212514.html and list a freelance rate of $25-$100 per article. If you go to the blogsite (http://www.vezeo.com/write-for-vezeo), they indicate the "initial interview" article is not compensated, and the compansation rate is a flat $25 per article.

Seems like a classic scam to me (continually get "first time" contributors, so never have to pay anything out), but just curious if anyone has any experience with this blogsite. Thanks.

Whatever you do, don't send your work there. I sent mine there, and not only have they made changes to it , but they didn't credit me for the work either. I simply got an email saying that it was accepted and a link to my review. If you want to be published without being paid and without being credited, then great, but otherwise stay away!

I applied the very first time they advertised, and got an email responder that spelled out what they wanted in terms of the quality of the content, and how sophisticated a food and travel blog they were going to be, but not a whiff about the payment. I sent back a polite email asking about the rates I could expect, and never heard back from the guy. I assumed right then, that it was a scam.

Since then I noticed they've added "$25 per article" to their Craigslist postings. I was at a writing forum soon after that and noticed some of the girls had already written "sample pieces" just to try their luck. It seems like this guy will have enough "sample pieces" to fill his blog for a while to come. :)

Thank you both. Yep, I received the same. I sent an e-mail requesting clarification and never received anything. Complete scammer.

Can this guy be reported anywhere, such that it would actually do some good?
