    People forget that "writer" is not the person living on 6-figure options out of Paramount, but the mom or dad who slog it out to make a middling (or less than middling) income for their families. I'm with you.

    I've been thinking about this today, because at one point I almost signed up before Iraq, but I didn't have the guts.

    But what I see now is that THEY are sacrificing THEIR Safety for OUR Freedom, and we are sacrificing THEIR Freedom for OUR (Illusion of) Safety.

    I'm really sorry I didn't see this all sooner and take more notice. :(
