This is just wrong. Vet had his memorial service cancelled just hours before the service by the church holding the service, apparently because his homosexuality was made public in an obituary.

Vet? Thanks! Oh, gay? Die in shame.

    Sad.

“We did decline to host the service — not based on hatred, not based on discrimination, but based on principle,” Simons told The Associated Press. “Had we known it on the day they first spoke about it — yes, we would have declined then. It’s not that we didn’t love the family.”

But because he was a gay man he wasn't loved enough by the church to hold the memorial.

I think that the family of the deceased has sufficient grounds for a discriminatory lawsuit against the church.

Gay or Straight, black, white, blue, green, red or yellow, the man died in the service of this country and should be honored for that sacrifice.

Behavior like this is truly disgusting.
