I am selling my very unique symbian based phone site. My site is one of a few worldwide that offer the service of providing a cert and key for members with a Symbian S60 phone. As those with symbians phone will prob know, a cert and key is needed to be able to unlock full rights on your phone giving you the ability to install unsigned games and apps.

    Site is currently PR2.

    Main site: http://tinyurl.com/lmb9kq

The reason there arent many of these sites is that to offer a service of generating certs and keys you need a Publisher ID from Symbian, however Publisher IDs are meant for application designers, and Symbian do not like websites giving out certs and keys however this isnt a problem as my site piggy-backs of a major site therefore saves loads of money and unlike the others is pretty much automated.

The site was setup on the 1st Aug 2009, it currently has 86,253 registered members.

Traffic is consistant and is automated, ive never ONCE advertised this site, if you do a search on google/yahoo etc you will see that the site has tons of backlinks. (Im not sure of how many as different places report different amounts, however traffic has been consistent from day 1 as there are not many of these sites hence the popularity)

The site used to make more money back in 2009, however the scripts are php based scripts and over time ive had bugs/things that needed changing and have generally paid someone else to carry out the changes to the coding. At xmas 2009, my coder went to university and i started to concentrate on other projects meaning the site has taken less earnings comapred to normal.

The new owner will need to make some modifications to the script to get it running 100% again as it does have some bugs. For instance my script tells the database to assign a status number to each IMEI which sometimes it just doesnt do. I "think" this is because the scripts are written in mysql4 which is known to be buggy though as i dont really know mysql/php ive generally left the coding to someone else. The site is written in php4/mysql4 though if the coding could be converted to php5/mysql5 would prob run smoother. As it stands the site isnt processing certs/keys atm as the cron jobs are not running until the status bug etc can be resolved.

The site has and has always had the same 3 revenue streams. Adsense, Pinball (installation of toolbars) and Donations. Below are some stats for this current year.

    Adsense:

    Jan 2010 = £81.46
    Feb 2010 = £48.12
    Mar 2010 = £46.23

    Pinball:

    Jan 2010 = 819 installs @ $174.45
    Feb 2010 = 1037 installs @ $165.73
    Mar 2010 = 902 installs @ $108.28

In 2009 the site was earning $300 per month from Pinball however as its now got some bugs again, numbers are down though has still had 2758 installs this year alone so monetized correctly should do rather well.

    Donations:

    Jan 2010 = $124
    Feb 2010 = $54
    Mar 2010 = $57

Donations range from $1 to $20 and have been consistent since Aug 09 (Have all emails from paypal still)

Im only selling this site as im now busy working on other projects however im not going to let it go for a silly amount. If it dont reach an amount im happy with, i wont sell.

    Bidding starts at $1000
