Very strange IBLs from unrelated site, hijacking?

I have a strange problem with a clients site. It's a fairly new sitein the stock photography niche and it's showing 140 IBLs from a site in the drugs info niche.

The IBLs can't be seen in the drugs site source code, they can't find them themselves and yet they exist and are showing the Google cache as IBLs.

On the .net version of the clients domain, the SERP title and desc are for ovarian cancer but if you click on the link it takes you to my stock photography clients site.

To start with the site wasn't getting indexed but I found an instruction in the .htaccess file that seemed to be re-directing search engine bots. Once removed, google is now indexing the site ok.

So, that just leaves these mysterious incoming links and the drugs connection. I very much want to get rid of the links as they can only be hurting my clients Trust rank and possible PR too.

Has anyone any knowledge of similar situations? If you PM me I can give you actual site names etc but I don't want this post indexed for their name.
