very simple question: What do I get by submission?

    Hello

I'm a newbie and don't know much about directories. What I wonder is what do I get by submitting my site to directories? Pagerank? Hits? both?

And there are people here on the forums that offer "manual" submission to the directories at a price. Is it a good idea to pay for their service? Does it worth it?
What's the difference of "manual submission" ?

I'm completely lost. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Hello...

If your site is quality then directories can offer your site a one way back-link
which increases your link popularity in all search engines increasing rakings and
traffic threw surfers that frequent that directory.

Niche directories can have a stronger impact in that they are geared for your
sites specific topic and can draw in higher targeted visitors.

    thx

    well explained malcolm.
also by manual they mean that they are not using any automated system to submit your site to the directories...
my advice is to do it your self if you are serious about your site....

    thank you all.

I'm sure it'd be better if I did it myself, but I don't have that much time. I need someone's service.

    regards,

In all honesty you are best off submitting your sites to the directories yourself. My recommendation is to search for seo friendly directories there is one with a spreadsheet at info(dot)vilesilencer(dot)com

Manual is necessary because you want someone to visit the submission page to fill in the captcha, and more importantly to check the guidelines of that directory.

Be aware that if you pay for cheap manual submissions this is often outsourced to places such as Peru and India. Ideally you want your submissions to be done by someone with a good command of the language of your website, and of the directories you are submitting to, for best results.

By the way, the site in your signature is loading very very slowly. You won't get good results from directory submission until that is fixed.

Thank you for your comment. The site is hosted from my country and hosting company is not a good one. I'm moving the site to a new host in 1-2 weeks.
