(very simple) question about mobile ad networks

    Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new here, so I'm not 100% sure if general marketing is the correct section.
I am almost done with my android game development. I will be releasing it for free, ad supported as its not big enough to be a paid game after all.

My question is, if my game gets cracked/stolen from Google play and the android apk file is made available for direct download on some website say freeAPK365.com, will I still keep on getting the ad revenue from the users who download the game from freeAPK365 and play it?

    Thanks for reading

You won't get a dime for any pirated download.
But if you sell anything inside the app (like some in-game stuff) then some of these users could make some purchases in your online store.

But can you call it pirated if its the direct apk build? For example when I test my game, I make the apk file and 'package install' it on my phone. So its not cracked right? I give the apk file to my friends to test on their devices, and it runs perfectly. After I integrate the ads, I will need to test that also, simply by making the apk file(?)

How does the ad network know if the game is downloaded from an official source like amazon or google play? Sorry, I'm totally new to mobile ads, so have no idea about all this.
