Hi, Whoever suggests the correct answer (in section 1) gets $4.34 the same day the new problem is fixed. Section 2 = $3 Enjoy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Section 1 Here is the new problem: My normally stable computer crashed during the installation of Firefox updates. Now, believe it or not, I cannot access a single cPanel or WHM (when browsing) through Firefox I thought about taking the time to uninstall FF, would I lose the bookmarks when re-installing? (if I don't take extra steps to 'protect or copy them)?? This is not the problem: Little or nothing to do with 'https' most of the cPanels are http, plus I can access paypal on a secure connection I've not noticed any other types of sites which do not work for Firefox This is really strange, it's not blocking certain IP's, just :2082, :2083, :2086, /cPanel, /WHM, etc (for many hosts) ~~~~~~~~~~~ Bonus Section (win a total of $7.34-or two people win) This section pays $3 if we get it fixed. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Section 2 (IE not Firefox) I prefer Firefox, but need to know end-users can see my sites in IE. This site 1Kind works for me in IE only at the public library about a week ago I started getting 'error 406' at home (with IE) 'error 406' is rare and should not be happening. Key note: The sites I cannot access (through IE at home) are all on one single web host Contacting them will probably be a waste of time because I think the problem is somehow related to my IE, not their web hosting... ...but why is the problem only with the one host (starting last week)??? For this section, please, start by verifying you can see the site (IE browser) or if you get an error (406)? If ~100%, who answer can see the site (IE browser, section 1 is for Firefox), and no one is able to fix the problem, I'll eventually pay the $3 to a random winner. It would be nice to fix both problems. Tip for winning: Please, try to give detailed instructions Some things I may know, but haven't done in a few years. Example: Find "_____" and do "______" (this doesn't help as much as) Tools >> Secutity >>> Advanced settings (this format-for example-helps much more) To win a section properly, please, take a quick moment to also answer all questions which no one else has covered (the 'bookmarks sub-questions' in section one-for example) Thank you, and enjoy winning
While I haven't had this problem, I would suggest trying this: go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Show Update History. It's possible that a failed one might have shown up there as having failed and might have some sort of retry button or something that might re-install the update and fix your FireFox. Also I can confirm for you that I do see 1kind, but I can't help any more than that.
Section one is fixed Norton security was somehow blocking ":2082, :2083, :2086, /cPanel, /WHM, etc" (or at least it gave a related 'warning') Not sure what this was, but it's working after a third re-boot. ~~~~ Section 2 is still open, see above to win $3. Thanks
