I have one site which yesterday got 11 click for only 26 cents . This is like 2.3 cents per click. Why are the payouts so low? Is there anyway to disallow these poor paying ads, and how do i find out which ads are the low paying ones. Or have a just picked a very flooded niche..
No relevant ads are being served up. No PSA. I thought smartpriced was only for adwords no? I know adsense payouts in most niches are not great. But avg 2.3 cents per click is awful!
@ sniperx - smart priced is when Google decide your visitors don't convert well. So they pay you less.
Not all ads pay the same. If you want high paying ads you need high paying keywords in your content. My sites tend to average around 30 cents a click but they're more tech oriented.
Niche is education. Blocked some MFA from displaying. No PSAs plenty of relevant advertisers in the niche. I think the niche just stinks for adsense earnings.. I think i will just concentrate my time on other sites, if there is no obvious reasons for the super low earnings.
2.5cents/click is better from the people who getting 1 cent/click anyway ..i thought education niche pay high ? isn't it ? :| DarkX
A link to your web site would be very useful. You should check wheter you have an adsense block that is never clicked on but is the first on the page. AdSense places the ads with the highest CPC in the first adsense block it encounters on the web page. So if your header banner does not get clicked on and most of your clicks come from a block below, you will lose most of the "juice"
Depends on what keywords got the clicks and from which countries they got the clicks and other factors but those are the main ones
I could be the fact that you had a lot of invalid clicks. If you have invalid clicks I believe Google still counts then in your stats, but because they are invalid you will have the clicks, but no earnings. So that earning could have been from 1 or 2 non invalid clicks. Also, I believe most niches pay alright on Adsense, there are just a few that don't, like entertainment.
