The site updates when people put movie in the search box, no matter it is new or movie from 1964, when someone search a movie, it is in the database, it will grab it from IMDB and add it to the database. That why I called it semi-automated. The script is modified from original, it is plain HTML, so it is easy for changes.

It depends, I like watch trailers all at one spot and in an organized way, plus it randomly pick up to top rated movie for me, sometimes I just don't know which movie get the good ratings, specially those old movies. Success or not is all depends on how much efforts you put into the site.
