Today I will be auctioning off a website that has just been sitting around for a few months untouched.

I built this website on the very popular Blogging Platform, Wordpress. The best blogging platform around today (in my opinion).

I have not yet optimized it the website for the search engines, I have not yet even submitted it to search engines, or done any marketing what so ever and guess what! The website has been receiving a steady stream of traffic! Its not much, but this shows you that there is potential for the website.

As you can see, there has been a steady stream of traffic over the past months, with a jump in traffic in August and I am certain that this month will go higher.

In addition, from what I can tell by simply looking at the traffic stats, the "number of visits" rather than the "unique visits" shown on the website is pretty high, which means that the people who come on the site once, return, or flip through multiple pages. This shows that people are interested in what the site has to offer.

Also, another way to proof this is through the websites commenting system. In the wordpress system, people visiting the site have the option of leaving a comment of what they think about the content of the site. Checkout what people have said in the past:

Website Earnings:

I have received a few clicks through Adsense here and there in the past from the website, but nothing worth showing. The website has not even been marketed yet. The person who buys this website should assume that the business is not earning any income at the moment.

Reason For Selling: I have no time to start this website up and manage it. Although its an easy website to manage, when I work on a website I tend to put more hours than I need to and this will take away from my main online projects. My time is full and thought it would be a good idea to auction this website off and use the money for my main project.

Support: I understand that when buying a new website, the buyer will need some help understanding the basic setup of the webiste. Where things are, how to make changes to the site, etc... Whatever the case maybe, if you need help with the website after the sale, I'll be around to guide you through it. If you don't have experiance with Wordpress, no problem. If you need help implementing your Google Adsense code, or making a small change to the design, or setting up your paypal button, etc... I will get it taken care of.

Can you post where your traffic is coming from for the month of Aug and Sept?

This will reveal the traffic source, meaning once you see it, anyone can see it and duplicate the traffic source. Although the traffic source brought in now was brought in without doing anything at all, I feel that this information should be kept private for the new owner of the business.
