    This is a very neat site that offers free stuff in the atlanta area. The site is well ranked in the search engines which drives that traffic but I did spend one month marketing the site running ads in craigs list in the free section for the site and it did about 3k visitors. The site is membership base (I also just added adsense today) and cost $1.95 per month to be a member. You can change that price. I had it at $3.95 and lowered it but have seen no more sign ups at the lower price so it should really be raised back up.

    I AM NOT TRANSFERRING THE CURRENT MONTHLY MEMBERS. If I contact the people that are current paying I think most will just cancel their membership so all you are buying for $125 is the site. When I was marketing the site I got 14 people to sign up in a month. 8 are still paying. Again I am not transferring the paypal subscriptions. You will just get the site and need to sign up your own members at this price. The content is pulled like a autoblog and people can post items as well. The site is easy to market on cl. Just one ad per day and drive 100+ visitors and only takes 2 minutes. I have other cities as well. Might be willing to work on a JV with someone and keep it if I can find the right fit but I have no time to spend on the site right now. freestuffstats.jpg

    Interesting concept. What is the backend that processes membership payments? You mention that it pulls like an auto blog, pulls from where?

    It is a wordpress site that uses S2member software and uses paypal to process the payments. You can also set it to use 2checkout as well as other payment options. It pulls ads from cl

    The concept is interesting, but here is a posting whereby the poster just put his phone number in the ad. In this case, the person viewing the ad could just call the guy without being a member? What's to stop anyone from putting there phone number or email in the ad?

    There is not much you can do about that other than monitor the site but it is just not worth the effort to watch it that close.
