Very low Page CTR

My average page CTR is always between 0.05-0.10% each month. My site is also fairly busy with lots of new content daily, these are the 3 main ads I use and the CTR ranges from 2011.

728x90 image banner. Page CTR ranges from 0.01% - 0.02%

300x250 image banner. Page CTR ranges from 0.10-0.15%

234x60 text ad. Page CTR ranges from 0.05%-0.10%

I've read some users have a CTR of 1.00%, what can I do to improve this? The ads are in good noticeable places.

Remember one thing, CTR and ads size have no relation. If you placed your advertising banner above you content then, no one going to click on them. if you mixed your advertise with the content then you will receive best CTR.

Place your ads within the content/after the post and it will get more CTR

    Yes, you can
    Try other placements.
    or try changing the size
also make sure that your ads color scheme is in accordance with the website background colors. If they are of same or similar colors the probability of getting clicks increase.

can you please tell us about your keywords? without it the discussion can't be so good. because if you don't get a good amount of visitors then its not possible to get good CTR dude.

place your ad just below the title of each single post and just below the post when it is opened. you should get better CTR this way
