Hi everyone, I just want to know why does my site has a low link popularity in Google. Before, I am working on a website and I have submitted in different directories, but my stat in Google remained unchanged compare to MSN and Yahoo's stats.

Yes Mong is right. It will take time before your backlinks appear in Google. How old is your site?

parusa, google doesn't report all your backlinks, yahoo and msn try to. Don't worry, they still count them though.

Woah, very lazy eh? I've got this website and I saw that it only have 161 LP from MSN, 313 from Yahoo, and 5 from Google.

Are there directories aside from DMOZ that can also help my website increase traffic?

Thanks for the info, as far as I remember, Google is the most complex search engine in the internet, and one of my supervisors say that I must target Google in terms of popularity.

Google only show if your backlinks has PR4 or more. :D they want us to make SEO harder and they're lazy too. ;)

If want info about backlinks, try Yahoo. much better

It really depends on not how many directories you have submitted to, but the quality and theme of the website also. The problem is trying to find websites that match your site in quality and theme and get them to link back to you (not reciprocal!) Good luck on this, as it'll take months and months to find some good linking partners that are themed, and will provide you with a one way link without paying them.

If you really want to pump up your ranking, www.three-way-links.com. For $5/month you can find and get lots of people to link to you in a three way fashion. Three way fashion? Yeah , SiteA -> SiteB, SiteB->SiteC, SiteC->SiteA. This means no reciprocal, which means Google doesn't undercut the backlink.
