Very low earnings for Indian sites

I have recently noticed a very bad rate per click thru the ads. Has anyone else experienced this? I am sure this might be with sites targetted to Indians, mostly Bollywood sites. I am getting shocking click rates almost 1$ for 100 clicks. The clicks are from different IPs, CTR is quite high but the earnings have gone down tremendously. This is very bad news for Indian publishers and I am already thinking of making some sites targetted to the US people. I guess the Adsense team should do something about this.

If I ban the stupid advertisers (MFA) then my CTR goes down as I get irrelevant ads. Below are some crappy advertisers:

rw2006.com/movies/ (all pages from this URL)
    erosix.biz/movie
bestwebpix.com/bollywood/Bollywood%20Com.htm (This guy has bollywood pictures ads and related to hotels)

Its a long long list. Please reply if your are experiencing the same

    Here's my theory:

An AdWords advertisers wants to use AdWords to sell widgets. A "click" on his widget ad is 20% likely to result in a sale -- if the click is from the United States. A "click" on the same ad from India is only 5% likely to result in a sale.

Google realizes this and charges the advertiser less for a click from India. Google then pays the AdSense publisher less for the click from India.

We all should stop making sites which target Indian users that’s the main thing you want to say?
Well only people who want to make money through adsense would say that, but there are others who have genuine sites! Which target India and make good money?
But you bought up right point!

Thats right but theres more. Try going to any Bollywood site and check the ads there. You can see 90% of the advertisers website are full of crap and adsense ads all over them. Some websites have irrelevant ads as well. Its very disappointing to see Google allowing someone to advertise for something which does not even exist on his site

    I'm a bit confused.

If the advertiser is paying, why should Google or the AdSense publisher care?

Google's system automatically sorts the ads so only the highest paying ads display.

If someone wants to outbid all of the other advertisers, I don't really care if their ad is about tennis rackets and all they have on their site is soccer balls.

Really, this is a weird case. I have not heard similar complain from another person. I have a blog about Bangla literature (http://write-translate.blogspot.com/) and it is on Bangla literature- even much limited theme than Bollywood and I have many visitors from Bangladesh and India but I have not seen 100 clicks for $1.

You don't need to ban MFA sites. Instead they would probably have the highest bid price on your sites.

I would suggest you don't target a specific country if you are not selling anything in it. This will make your CPC vary which is good i guess.

I agree, bollywood sites are not earning good anymore.
Do you have complete list of this kind of advertiser? I would say they are competitor and like to ignore any low paying gallery/movie site.

Here is the deal. When AdWords campaign is set up, advertisers can choose what 'countries' they want their ads shown in. It's pretty simple. If a person from Bangladesh enters something in Google and my AdWords campaign is limited to US, Canada, UK and Austraila, my ad won't get shown. I don't see how it's different in the content part. If I have the content part activated, the country settings should apply. Which means that advertisers don't want their ads to be displayed to Indians. What's left is penny-pinchers who don't care what nationality you are, because they aren't trying to sell anything to you. They are buying whatever traffic they can get for whatever the reason might be.

I would support saying that the Indian Targetted sites{Especially Bollywood} are making lower CPC.
Currently iam getting 1$ for an average of 40 -50 Clicks
on the other site my other Webmaster related sites give up like 4-5 Clicks = 1$
