Anyone noticed a 50% drop in earning over the past few days.

All my sites across the board earned 50% less yesterday and today.

    Hope it picks up tomorrow.

I have notice since tuesday that revenue has dropped off a cliff with adsense am not sure why could be that people had been out partying after the win in the US apart from that i dont have a clue.

    Hey,

I already described the problem of smart pricing in another post. It is called "smart pricing" because you get less money per click. Google does that to protect its advertisers. Several factors define the price of an advertisement.

There is not much that you can do except removing your advertisements from all pages that are not related to your niche and/or removing adsense for 2 weeks. The last part helped me most.

For me, Adsense has been really bad since the start of November. Although my traffic is remaining around the same, my CTR and average amount I get per click has gone right down. I was making around $2 per day in October, and now I'm averaging at only a few cents :(

But isn't that down to how much Adwords customers are paying Google per click they receive? So, in that case, it isn't really Google's fault. I personally think this is down to the economy crisis, because people don't have as much money so can't spend as much as they used to on programs like Adwords.

It is the problem of everybody. Initially all good ads served for any new site. Afterwards low paying ads comes to our site. That is the problem for all sites.
