I have a very important question? Look, Some say it is not good to have high range of backlink in a month(lets say I have 5000) backlinks from other sites directories etc..Then why it will harm my site and how..Look If I can pay I will pay for backlink or High a team to submit to a very high quantity of site for backlinks.Same if I cna pay I use adwords..I know too many links a short time consider as Spam ..But why..Not only Black Hat can bring a lot of back links there are reason for getting backlinks.. For example my client can spend a good amount of money or I can high 2-10 people to submit to 2000-5000 daily then what is wrong in it.? I can pay I do..It is business...then why it is spam..? Or why any site will consider as spam.??
you can buy 5000 links, it is not bad. but you must buy 6000 more links next month and 7000 more links month the other month. if you stop buying new links, google will understand that you are getting these links with money. and google does not like that kind of links. all backlinks should be organic. for example addthis.com/bookmark.php got a lot of backlinks in a short time. but google did not think that it is spam. because the page continues getting new backlinks.
dude.. I have 110 backlinks to my blog.... PR3 in one month... It's not quantity it's quality of b-links
I agree with staffsergeantpeterson ... It really depends on the "quality" of your backlinks.. Make sure those websites are related to your website and have a decent Google PageRank so you get at least some link juice... Link farms and most free link directories out there are a waste of time..
if your competitor has 10000 "quantity" backlinks and you have 250 "quality backlinks", YOU WIN!! thats how it is.. if you are able to acquire the best of backlinks than any other competitor for your niche then you'll be the ultimate winner...
First off everyone here is correct: Quality over Quantity! That being said there really is no magic number to how many a month. If you get whatever Google thinks is to many in a month, they will actually use a human (I know - who knew they had those!) to check out where the links are coming from and if they are being use to manipulate your rankings. I'll give you an example: You conjure up an awesome linkbait strategy and that results in 10,000++ link backs to your site in a months time. This will most likely trigger the human editor and they will decide what is good links and what are devalued. Will Google devalue some of those links? Probably but do you think you would get a penalty for getting that many links in a short amount of time? Unlikely. Isn't that our job, to make quality content everyone wants.
Google wants the internet to be clean, or so it thinks. It feels like if a content is relevant and good then it will get links naturally. It is against buying links cos it can help any sub-standard article get on top of serps. I don't mean that your content is sub-standard but suppose if you are on top with a top quality article and then suddenly your competitor comes on top with a poor article and by buying links then you will feel cheated, of course. THat is why google is against it. Let people discover your site through SEO, article markeing, social bookmarking and link building(white hat)

yes, there u r...don't think too much about Google but start doing Ethical SEO activities....and i am sure you will get the good result of it.... And about your question....no that will not harm you...but you should prefer links from different type of sites like, blogs, bookmarking websites, article websites, PR websites etc....that will be more beneficial..
Google are in a big problem with the links business and are trying to figure out which site has real links and whicjh one buys links. So if he marks you as a link buyer there is a slight chance it will hurt your ranking
