Very High Refund Rate for Reverse Phone Detective since Last Couple Of days

I've made a living selling CB products for quite a while now (to the tune of nearly 5 figures a month) and didn't know buyers email addresses were available to affiliates (and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that didn't know that). Is there some reason we SHOULD know it? I can't see any reason an affiliate would be emailing buyers - after all they haven't given any permission to do so. But maybe I'm missing something?

Not sure what variance has to do with this topic? Care to expand? (Yes, I have studied statistics).

 

Ugh, well, if your average refund rate is (for example) 1 refund for every 8 sales, then there is a reasonable chance that over a certain period of time, you'll see a higher refund rate (maybe 20-30% over a few days). Of course, it can work the other way and you might not see any refunds for a week.

The point is that unless you're making hundreds of sales a day, it's difficult to draw any meaningful conclusions based on just a few days of data.

 

No wonder that this product is getting high refund rate.

How can a business or product succeed completely ripping off poor people?

Some of the very angry responses I noticed

"This company is a rip-off. First inspection claims that information is available for a number. It is only AFTER you buy a membership that, upon running a search on the SAME number, that no information for it is available. Big time scam. I emailed them asking for my money back. We'll see what happens. I'm not holding my breath though."

"There must be other places to turn in these scam websites run by lazy prima donna's who would rather not get a real job. Someday, he will pay for cheating so many people--knowingly."

"COMPLETE SCAM!!! So glad I paid via paypal. I expect to to get a refund. I really don't care if I get my money (14.95)..this isn't about the money. It's about a BULLSHIT F**KING company such as this and exposing them for what they TRULY ARE!!!"


How angry these people are.They realized that they were cheated and fooled.

Think from the side of the customer.

Suppose you are a common internet user who does not know anything about internet marketing.

1. You searched for the term "reverse phone lookup". Saw an adwords ad[ without even knowing what adwords is ]
2. Clicked and reached an affiliate landing page.Read a very "genuine" review of this product from an affiliate
3. Only because of that recommendation you spent your hard earned money for that product
4. Now realize that the review was fake and the service does not provide what it promises.



You are very angry and sad.

What would you do next?



I wish products like these MUST be shut down by law.Clickbank should re review a product if the refund rate is extremely high.

One thing for sure.Many clickbank products and affiliates (including myself till some month back ) polluted the internet through their fake reviews.

Unfortunately, at least 80% of the products sold on CB are complete crap. Utterly useless junk.

If Clickbank eliminated all of the "low quality products" on the network...they would kill the majority of their business.

And yeah, people writing fake review sites, that's pretty sleazy IMO.

Seriously
The point being that any business with customers will have complaints , some will have more some will have less
depending on the quality of the product and the volume of customers they have.
im not saying anything about the quality of this reverse phone product because i never looked into it in the first place im just saying that these complaint sites are not a good place
to base your argument on.

Many of the complaints against clickbank products on these sites are also engineered by competitors who sell the same products online as anyone can write anything there without any proof nor being held accountable
for slander.

When you go buy a burger in Mcdonald,you will surely get one.What happened in our reverse phone detective example is entirely different.Customers are not getting anything expected.

This is something similar to this

You go order a burger in Mcdonald, they give you a small piece of burger that is already eaten by somebody else and laugh at you

Yes, might be phone detective is a crappy product or everything is crappy in that niche.I am not saying that it is scam or anything because might be possible kind of refund rates currently I am having, could be only for me. I talked to Affiliate manager of phone detective today .He said that their average refund rate runs around 4% but not same in my case .He just claimed that my marketing claims can be overly aggressive. But how ,I just run a simple informative wordpress blog with 2 affiliate links inside content of each blogpost. So I can’t consider anything overly aggressive here if am not claiming anything expect providing people a resource for search their number .

I think testing for another product would be nice to check whether only particular product is crappy or all products in Clickbank Marketplace concerning to reverse phone lookup niche are crappy. So I am moving for another product today of same niche ...this time lower gravity, Just need to change my the new HOP URL of new chosen vendor in link cloaking page of wordpress blog .lets see what would be conversion rate and refunds rate for this one .For reverse phone detective it was 1:60 and refund as I already told you near around 20 to 25 %

Clickbank is testing the new checkout page yes. They are showing a seal that states 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Also, cb is known to not fight for sales. Meaning they give out refunds without much effort from the customer. What we do at procash is handle the customer service ourselves. Procash is a premier vendor on cb with 15 sites. Some in the reverse phone niche.
