My CTR is typically in the 40% range and I have never had an issue.

I would not worry too much.

your CTR is high but some sites can have that kind of CTR is it is content based and ads are well blended in within content. if you are not clicking on them, then no worries.

one thing to consider tho, how was your CTR in the past? if it was 2% and all of a sudden its 49% now, then that would not make sense. in that case, you may have been victimized of click bombing. if the CTR has been that way or close always, then nothing to worry

If you aren't doing anything illegal then you will be fine, google has ways to tell if the issue is YOUR fault or someone else doing it. They are pretty good at banning those who need to be banned BUT it has and will happen where you get dinged for other peoples clicking.

I think that's the average CTR for a site with low traffic. Once you start getting more traffic then it will most likely drop. So no worries :)

I have a 336x280 on the left side of my site pages just under the H1 header and some pages have a 728X90 mixed in with the content depending on the volume of the content on the page.

The 336X280 blends in with the background and text and the 728X90 is a reverse ad so it stands out pretty strongly.

No need to worry if you are not trying wrong ideas to increase CTR.

Definitely, interested in how your page is setup. If my CTR was that high the last thing I would be doing is complaining.

I have been having CTR in the range of 60% and got no problems. SO I think you don't have any worries. But try to see if you are getting any invalid clicks or not.

If they are invalid clicks then, you gotta worry.

Man, if you're talking about this web site - http://www.mp3scraps.com - I know what's wrong. You're displaying a large Adsense image ad in a small iframe window. Because of that, this ad is not showing completely and you can't even see the "Ads by Google" icon.

You're playing with fire, believe me, it won't be long before your account is banned.

You can't just change the ad size yourself - you need to go back to adsense and get a new code for your 200x200 ad.

PM me if you like if you're not sure what I'm talking about. I took a sreenshot, I can explain outside this forum if you like.

    GM

PS: Just checked your page again - it's ok on the home page (e.g., http://www.mp3scraps.com/ but not on internal pages, e.g., http://www.mp3scraps.com/?p=479 )
You need to use the same code you use on the home page across all pages. - just change the google_ad_slot value).

49% CTR is VERY MUCH...I'd deliberately try to decrease it haha.

You might have been click bombed.
