Very high CPU usage from wp-admin

    Hi guys,

I have no idea what to do with my site any more! I can not publish anything simply because every time I open /wp-admin/page.php and try to add a new page the CPU is ready to explode! 97.6% CPU usage from /public_html/wp-admin/page.php
Normally when the CPU usage is nearly 100% the site is down. The server is a dedicated one 2GB RAM and I have already switched from one provider to another.
I'm using wp-super cache, but I don't thing this is a traffic issue with my 1000 unique per day and appr 5000 pages.
May be because everyone of these pages/posts have at least 4 custom fields - I'm wandering if this is the problem!

I will appreciate your help :)

I'd turn off all your plugins and slowly turn them back on and see which is causing the problem. It may even be a conflict between two plugins.

Let us know how you get on.

I had a similar problem, I deleted the wp-cron file and it is ok now.

I think I've solved it :) The autoload options for tones of uninstalled plugins were causing the problem. I've deleted more than 100 records and now the CPU is perfectly calm :) The wp-cron is sticking up sometimes, but I'm not quite confident deleting it! I definitely don't have any cron jobs and I have no idea if I need it at all.
