Very high bounce rate. Need advice

The bounce rate of my website is way to high. I want to bring it down. I am not able to understnad why this is happening. Looking at the creater point of view, I find my website good. The content is good and the design is simple. Please help me here

I think your site is very slow... reason why they close it immediately without looking at your site.
On my part it's too slow it takes time to load up.

 

Site a little slow to start.

No recent comments and the comments that do exist have a pattern, one a day for several days with nothing but praise. Simple wordpress site. Lots of very long paragraphs without much color or font size changed. No bright colors like red. No video. No social media buttons. Some obvious comment spam. No banner ads. Got bored trying to read the text. No/few headlines.

IMHO the same sized text just goes on and on and on. People have a very short attention span and, many times, hate to read. No call to action jumped out at me.

People probably leave when they see all the print. It says some nice/good things but needs some headlines to grab their attention. Sorta academic with educational material/text.

 

Seems graphically boring - like an automated bulk blog created for search engines.
Try a new template, some images/graphics, some bigger fonts with more styling, headers.

 

I think VideoWhisper said it perfect, it looks like an automated blog or something. Nothing about the blog looks appealing to a human visitor. Yes, it looks clean and simple.. but, I see no images, just boring looking site with a huge chunk of text == That's my first impression. We all know there's hundreds of thousands of earn money online blogs, make yours stick out somehow or nobody will waste their time reading it. Good luck!

 

I don't think it is an automated blog since the comments are not current.

I also agree with VideoWhisper. Since it's WP just switch the theme. Break the text up a little.

 

I think your site content is really poor. There's no option to update it's quality. As the content is poorly made, the bounce rate continues. Bounce means, people visit the website but leave away without checking your content.

 

Create some attractive thing on your webpage, which is very userfriendly...and place some external information, pics and you have to give some related information other url's, which decreases the bounce rate of your website. Sometime Landing Page also decreases the Bounce Rate of our website...

 

I think change your site content and do the all the work regularly.

 

Bounce rate can be decrease if you get your site more stylish,catching to viewers eyes. Grab their attention by putting headlines and social media button

 

Your site looks like as a simple word document. Please made changes such as add images, videos, change font color and size, add social media buttons, add very informative contents etc. This will make the visitors to stay on your site.

 

I don't think it's slow..at least when I tried loading the site. I think it's to do with the website theme - you have a light-grey background with links that are in the light blue color as well - they don't stand out to help you in your navigation. What I would suggest you to do is pick a theme with a white background and dark blue links - here the links stand out against a pleasant background and you have more chances of user engagement.

Besides, bounce is not always bad. If people click and exit your page to the links in your content, this means they are reading what you have written and want to take your recommendation. It's how you offer value to these users that matter. Bounce is only bad when people click close or the back button right after they visit your site. And this I think can be fixed by changing the theme.

 

Your site too many text, place more images

 

You need to do a better job DRAWING IN the reader. I do this with the following tricks:

1) Start off the article with questions that engage the reader based on interests

2) Funnel the article to another subtopic AFTER providing the information asked by the questions at the top. Funnel to another set of questions. Link to another article.

3) Use 2 to 3 Pictures to break boredom

4) Use short paragraphs and short active choppy sentences

5) Use drama in subheadings

 

First check your site's loading, site loading is also a point for bounce rate, when you submit your website in off page work keep in mind submit in right category this is another point for bounce rate.

 

First of all, let me start by asking you a question: what is too high? Bounce rates are naturally high for most blogs. Next question: what is the goal of your blog? Is bounce rate really the metric that you should be worried about?

That being said, yes, the design can use A LOT of work. While most people will tell you that "content is king" you only have a few moments to grab people's attention. And if your design is unappealing, they won't stick around to find out if your content is actually any good.

And to reiterate the point that some others made here: writing online isn't like writing for a newspaper or school papers. You don't want to write in long paragraphs. Add white space. Break sections up with sub-headings. Make the content more inviting to read - don't make it so overwhelming and intimidating.

 

Hello, I think you should have to improve the quality of content available on your webpages, add theme based images to it so that it can attract peoples to go for deep pages in your website.

 

No people will study your content which full of text .

You need to give atleast one banner for every article and try to use attractive title and bold it with different font.

And your site do not have a nice flow which you need to restructure your site which is easy to navigate base on title.
So they can easily search what they want to study on your site and know what they are studying now . Categories all your article make it easy to navigate.
