Very confused and demoralized

    Hello all,

I have a site that's roughly 2 months old, traffic is picking up slowly, membership is growing steadily....all in all as good as can be expected for this type of site.

My moral drops lower and lower with this site due to my inability to even be on Google's radar. I'm doing reasonably well with MSN, and the totally screwey thing, unless I'm being penalized of course, is that I've done and read as much as I can find to make Google happy....with not even a nod. MSN however just loves me...more and more each day it appears.

I guess my question is: Is Google that much slower than MSN? I mean am I asking too much for 2 months time? I got a PR4 from them and Google does spider me......

These are results for the keywords that rank thus far:

    MSN 1
    MSN 3
    MSN 3
    MSN 4
    MSN 5
    MSN 10
    MSN 16
    MSN 19
    MSN 24
    Yahoo 45

    Thanks for reading....

You could be in the sandbox for over a year. Don't get your hopes up any time soon.

Established sites also sometimes "go on vacation" for a while, for little understood reasons, so diversity is always good.

I can register a site and get it indexed normally within 2 weeks and usually within 48 hours I can get front page indexed.

Yeah, I can get a page indexed in 12 hours... but so what? There is a big difference between getting indexed and getting ranked in the SERPs

I struggle with google too - am starting to make an impact on yahoo and even msn for certain keywords but google just does not like me at all!

However as they say god loves a trier and I will keep trying!
