Hello, I am new to Adwords and all kind of online ads. I have a couple of basic questions regarding the Google Adwords 1. Will I have to pay only when someone clicks on my ad link? (Or will the Google charge to show the ad link in the search result? ) 2. I have understood that some keywords are expensive and some are cheap. Is it possible to calculate the keyword price before I start advertising? I will be thankful if someone can tell me about this. Thanks.
Adwords is a pay-per-click advertising system. You pay only when someone clicks on your ad. Google has a keyword tool which gives you an estimate of what you might pay. This is based on market trends and forces (what others in the vertical are willing to bid) and your ads' quality. The tool uses an average Quality Score of 5. So if your QS is higher, you will pay less, sometimes a lot less. But the real metric to use is ROI. CPC costs are relative: $3 may seem expensive if you sell a low margin product or low cost but that's cheap in the insurance business for example.
1. If you select the CPC (cost per click) model as the payment model, someone click your ad through Adwords then Google will charge you. 2. The best way to find out ROI (return on investment) of each keyword that you target for your product, you need to test test test it. Of course you need to spend the money for it. There is a possibility you will experience a loss for a keyword, however you will quickly find out keywords which are best for promoting your product through Adwords and make profit.
You can pay only for "clicks" not for every impression of your ad, Rates are showing in adword as an estimate value, There are lots of competitors who are pay some more in bidding for showing their ad on top. So if you want run your campaign with adword Choosing some targeted and long tail keyword as your business requires and then you get estimate value and top bidding rate for this keyword.
Hi, 1, Yes, you'll only have to pay when someone actually clicks on your ads. However, even then your costs can add up pretty quickly. 2, I suggest you learn and research more about this before you jump headfirst into PPC, since a lot of people lose their money in a heartbeat thinking AdWords will make them rich in record short time (no offense, I don't mean it's you, but even then, researching a bit more can never hurt ;-) ) Good luck with your quest to success, Steve
Well you may have got your 1st answer and here is the 2nd answer Every keyword has its own competition and CPC value which depends again on the ad position and bid value. For a rough idea you can go through the Google adwords keyword tool(after logging into your account). This will provide you the detailed analysis on every keyword you type in. Hope it helps. Good luck!
