Not sure if anyone here has this problem maby its just my mouse? But with vista I have this problem sometimes. With Draging and Dropping, double clicking, and mass selecting files. Sometimes when mass selecting files. I find is difficult do so, it highlights the file and sometimes opens it by accident or if you try to drag a selection box over mass files its picks the file up to drag it. On the desktop too, it has this box highlight over it and you can't click on it to mass select a bunch of files. you have move to a space that is empty. So So annoying. when dragging and dropping files the damn thing sometimes slipps off sometimes and I accidently move the file somewhere I didn't want to.. Moving windows, When I do that that sometimes slips off and maximizes the window. WTF man? Okay if your a webmaster this is not a great OS to use I'm thinking. Specially with FTP. This whole thing is a disaster. Might delete a file by accident or misplace it. btw did I mention it took me 2 hours to get smartFTP to work with drag and drop? ya apparently it needed special adminstrator rights. That was a really annoying experience.
I've actually had that issue too. I didn't really want to get Vista but i had to get a new laptop, and it came with it.
Ya glad to hear I'm not the only one. Is there a way to disable that highlighting effect? Ever since getting Vista, SmartFTP is a pain the ass to use now.
It happened. I had a file index.php and was dragging to a folder in smarftp. Its slipped off and into the root directory and deleted & replaced my index.php. Good thing I had a backup!! Or would be &$$&ed! If your using ftp with vista keep file backups! Or you will be sorry xD
