We recently had FIOS installed and now I am having trouble with my wireless router. Verizon doesn't have 24 hr or weekend support, so figured I give it a shot here to see if any FIOS users could help... Basically we have a desktop running Vista connected to the the modem (which also doubles as a router - This is the router here: http://www.verizon.net/central/vzc.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=vzc_help_contentDisplay&objId=42257 The internet on the desktop is working fine...My hubby's 4 yr old mac laptop is also connecting to the router and not having any problems... But when I'm connected to it on my Acer Aspire 472OZ with built-in wireless card laptop running Vista the internet connection keeps dropping out - it keeps going from full internet connection to being "Local Access Only" - meaning its picking up the router signal fine, it's just not connecting to the internet. So I am thinking maybe it is a software/hardware issue on my laptop and not the router/internet connection itself...(or could be because it is a "security enabled network"?) - I never had problems using our Linxys router with the other internet we had. Tried googling all types of things for FIOS wireless router issues but no luck. Any suggestions?
