    If i don't have hdfc debit card then can i apply for netsafe card?Is is must that i should have debit card before applying for hdfc's netsafe card?And one more thing is did you verify your paypal account by using this netsafe card?how did you know that we can verify paypal account using hdfc's netsafe card?

    Well I have a debit card with both Cirrus and Maestro logo but the problem is, everytime I enter in paypal it says incorrect card number. So I think its clear now that paypal don't accept Indian Debit cards. Anyone here who verified his paypal using Indian Debit card, please tell us how you did :rolleyes:

    i went to hdfc website.in the website it is written that netsafe credit/debit card number will be generated from existing hdfc credit/debit card.so i don't have hdfc credit card.i have hdfc debit card.can i verify paypal account if i generate netsafe debit card from existing hdfc debit card?

    I think there is lot of confusion for you to go with hdfc netsafe card. Why don't you go with VCC to verify your paypal account ? Lots of member using it.

    Then i suggest you to apply for a credit card.

    As you have already hdfc debit card means you have account with them so you'll get credit card without any problem and quickly IMO.

    Indian Credit Cards are hefty thing to have because of the considerable amount of the Bank charges which have to be paid .
    i do also have international debit card powered by Visa from IDBI bank but its of no use as paypal always says that the card you are using has been rejected by the bank which issued it. and moreover the bank persons are not willing to say anything about it as well coz i think they dont even know what the heck is paypal .

    HDFC Netsafe is provided by HDFC bank exclusively for its customers only. if a person having HDFC account then he can access and create a netsafe card through his netbanking facility. Netsafe is virtual credit card contains a credit card no and CVV(3digit) no for short period and its used for one time only.
    If u have HDFC account, then create a netsafe card and verify paypal using the temporary CVV no provided. It reflect on your bank statement also.
    I read some of the DP members are verified paypal using HDFC netsafe.
    Im also planing to open a HDFC sb account for verifying paypal.
