Hello everyone, Let's say that I want to check someones backlinks instade I receive the following text : "Your website has not backlinks to report. -- Go on .. and build backlinks first " I had this problem more then once. First question is it possible that you can hide your backlinks ? Second question is it possible that a top list site can be there with out any backlinks ? Is a noob question but I want a confirmation... Third if is possible to hide the backlinks how can you do that? Thanks in advance.

I don’t think you can “hide†good backlinks because good backlinks are indexed in searchengines. Junk and span backlinks will not show up most of the time because they are from worthless places that the search engines don’t want to have garbage in their indexes. A “Top†site in what? A top site in some obscure subject like shaving your cat and giving it a tattoo. You could be top in something like that with no backlinks. But anything worthwhile you will probably need some backlink juice.
Bear in mind that sometimes backlinks take a while to show up, even though the SEs probably already take them into account.
