Verifying a co.uk domain name

    Hi there,

    I want to start a sale thread and I cannot verify my domain name. It is a .co.uk domain name hosted at Moniker. I have added both the txt and cname a few ours ago but still cannot verify. Any idea why?

    There are other .co.uk domin names that have been verified so I highly doubt that it's anything to do with the domain name extension. Are you sure you uploaded the .txt file to the root of your website?

    To check, go to yourdomain.co.uk/*whateveryourverifycodeis*.html and see if anything is displayed.

    I was talking about the txt record not the html file.

    If you place a text file in your root directory you can still open and read the file.

    As an example if you have a robots.txt file in your root you can go to http:// youromain. co. uk/robots.txt and read it.

    The domain has no hosting. It has moniker servers and there I added the txt record and the cname. I have checked the settings with an external tool (mxtoolbox.com) and they are set up correctly.

    Nope, it does not cache anything.. Could just be DNS isn't totally propagated out yet.
