Hi lads, just a tip, no matter where are you living and who you are, just set up a limited company in Ireland. I used to live in Bulgaria and I could`t verify my Paypal account. I have found registered agent in Ireland which set up a limited company for me, opened a business bank account and now I can use paypal processor. It is easy and fast. There is plenty registered agents in Ireland, I also can recommend my one. Cheers!

True, it is not free. I paid 850 euro. If you have serious business it is good investment.

I've heard that Spain and Ireland are the two European countries where it's relatively easy (though not necessarily cheap) for citizens of other EU countries to set up personal/company banking without needing to be in the country to do so. Not sure about the Spanish banking system at the moment, they have had their share of accidents with the general banking/financial meltdown recently; Ireland could easily be the best bet for this. Certainly nothing is easy with UK banks at the moment, and they're increasingly bound by ever-changing banking regulations.

It takes 3-5 working days to reg. the company and additional 10 days to open a bank account. Registered Agent does not need a signature from the client but certified copy of your passport will be needed. To be able to set up a limited company in Ireland two directors are needed. One of them should be an Irish resident the other one could be a resident anywhere else. How it works with the registered agents, the agent usually offers to be a nominee director, who actually registers the company and opens the accounts, as well as takes care of all accountancy matters.
