On the verification page, click on "HTML File Upload"



Then download the HTML verification file.

Then upload that file to your website in the directory with your index.html or index.php in the root of your website.

Then wait 60 seconds

Then press verify

 

If your site is based on self hosted wordpress, you can also use meta tag method. Install "insert headers and footers plugin". Click "html tag", Copy the meta tag code and paste it in head section of the plugin. save the settings. then click "verify" in your google webmaster verification page.

 

There are multiple ways you can verify the document.
One of the easiest ways is uploading the HTML files and visiting page to copy/paste it.
Second way is the meta tag. Put this code where your meta tags and your internal file script headings are located nearby your title tag.
A third way is to verify using Google Analytics.
Most CMS systems have areas called "HEADER SECTION" or "FOOT SECTION" These generally are places that you can add any external code.

 

The easiest way to verify your website in Google webmasters is by Google analytics. Make sure you have used same Gmail account for webmasters which you are using for Analytics. Place the analytics code in the header of your site. Hit the verify and you are all done.

I think you can also do by adding a new 'A' record.

You can use Webmaster tool/Search Console for Website Verification. You can also verify your website with Google Analytics for performance measurement.
