Verify Backlinks on Site Explorer ...

    Hey I've been on different forums in my niche for a while now. I have posted over 50 times and my Sig has had my url included to it and post every time. But the problem I'm having is this, when I try to check how many backlinks I have, it only tells me 1. And that 1 is not coming from any of the forums that I post to.

    Is it just that site explorer did not visit my since then ? Or is something wrong ? And just to make sure I also did a backlink check with some other site and it gave me the same results.

    Am i doing something wrong ? The only thing I can think of is ... the URL im checking is one I brought. I brought it to mask my blogspot.com URL. Does that make a difference ? Should i just wait till site explorer updates something ?

    Hi Jay,

    I am not sure what the problem could be.. but one thing is for sure..that Yahoo Explorer does not show all the backlinks
    you may have to your site. Also sometime it can take lot of time for them to show newly created backlinks.

    So do not worry..just keep building your links and you will get it right soon!

    Thanks a lot for that, I kind of guessed maybe that could be the problem. Is there anyother Backlink checking site I can use that doesn't get their information from yahoo that you can think of ?

    Ok, I see what your saying, and I don't think it's been 2 or 3 weeks yet either. Do anyone know how long it takes to get indexed in the Bing and Yahoo search engines. For example when you type in your full URL, the results of your site comes up. It's doing that for Google but not yet for yahoo and Bing yet.

    I just wanted to say thanks, I had to wait a little and now I'm seeing all my backlinks beginning to update in yahoo. However I have a question ... something i noticed was when I check yahoo backlinks under something like (blablabla.com) it show zero results. But when I type in (www.blablabla.com) all my results come up. Should i start advertise for bother versions of my site. Or is this something that I can correct ?

    Preferred method would be choose anyone either the 1st or the second as search engines loves only one preferred method way of your links. You can find the similar thing in google webmaster tool wherein you are asked to give your preferred url
