I try to verify my website but I still get this Verification status: NOT VERIFIED Our system has experienced a temporary problem. I tried both meta tag and html file with a html file. Any help to solve this problem would be welcome.
This happens when Google's servers are busy (making money). If you are using free hosting, or have a redirect scenario, then you will have other problems.
So what do you see when you click on the URL they ask you to use to verify placement (i.e. samplesite.com/ad87afs86fsa6f8f.html)? Do you get a 404 Not Found or do you get a blank page. If you get a blank page, it trouble on their end. If it's a 404, the problems on your end.
Thanks for your answer, but it's not clear for me. i have only the first meta tag -verify-v1- and I don't have the others -y_key & msvalidate.01-. Are y_key & msvalidate.01 necessary? Are tey universal tags?
I don't, but I don't use the META tag. I just use their alternative and create a Web page only they can access. I'm not going to waste my bandwidth shoving code down real peoples' throats when it's only there to satisfy a search engine.
I always put the HTML webpage.. i got the problem but it was automatically resolved within 1-2 days.. Wait for 1-2 days..
i added many site in the webmaster tootle until now no problem. M using metag method and added it on the header then within few hrs start getting report
Problem Solved. I verified my web site but still getting that message. I ignored it. I waited for 2-3 days and it's done. Google done his work adn auto-verified my website. Thanks technocrazzy again
