    Hello, everyone.

I work at ISPsystem. We make hosting management panels since 2004. At the moment we are developing Vepp. This is new software for managing websites on a virtual/dedicated server, or in a cloud. Vepp is an easy and simple alternative to traditional control panels such as cPanel, Plesk or ISPmanager. We kept the essential features of control panels (such as CMS, domains and databases management) but made the UX closer to a site builder simplicity.

Vepp is going to be released later in 2019 (with more features in it), but we already want to invite the Digital Point community to be the first testers of the alpha version. We are eager to know an honest opinion (both positive and criticism) of people who deal with website management every day. We are interested in your feedback on UX, convenience, features, etc.

    How to start testing

Vepp is now available for testing as SaaS: www.vepp.com. To start testing it, you need a clean server with root access and CentOS 7. It may be a small VPS from your hosting provider.

    The concept of Vepp

When developing Vepp and working on its UI we took global trends into account. The number of websites keeps increasing. Site builders become more and more popular. CMSs get easier to use. All in all, people need less technical skills to manage a website. Vepp is a solution for those who need all the benefits of CMS but don’t want to face complicated server settings.

Example. It takes only one click to set up a website in Vepp. You only need to enter a domain name. Vepp will add a domain on web server level for you. It will also automatically create a database and install the latest PHP version.

Another example. Connect your server to Vepp. Vepp will order a free Let’s Encrypt certificate for your domain. You can later change the domain settings and add another SSL if needed.

We have already told about our new panel Vepp, announced news from the development team and further plans, and offered to test the SaaS version.

Today, we are pleased to announce the official release of Vepp. Now, providers can install the control panel on their equipment and offer it to customers.

You can read more about the concept, plans, and prices in our large preview. Now we will briefly describe only 4 important facts about Vepp. It performs the following operations:

    1. Creates a website from the WordPress template in three clicks.

    2. Allows a service provider to sell domains and allows a user to manage them.

    3. Installs a free SSL certificate, configures mail, and makes backups.

    4. Informs about problems with the website and advises how to solve them.

Congratulations on your release. Do you have any plans for internal licenses like the major competitors?

    Thank you!
If you mean internal licenses for hosting providers for bundling with VPS and reselling to clients, we don't have it, but we got something different instead.

We do provide discounts for providers. But instead of hundreds of licenses, we provide partners with one Vepp Platform. We also wrote an article in our blog where covered pros of this method for VPS providers https://www.ispsystem.com/news/vepp-for-partners
