I currently have a network of 12 websites built around a couple common mysql databases driven by custom php scripts. The entire portfolio is self-sufficient and for the most part, generates its own content, traffic, and growing revenues. The main theme of the websites is Health products. The websites use a custom data warehouse to rank product listings and placement based on click-thrus and custom, real-time web dashboards have been created to analyze metrics for all products and vendors. There is a great deal of growth and with the existing architecture, new sites can be launched in less than a few days. The entire operation is posed for explosive growth. In fact, on it has demonstrated substantial, quantifiable results. 2006 sales were only 4000, while 2007 sales were 66,000. 2008 sales are already 90,000 and it is only april. Current projections show that this year (based on a conservative linear algorithm that assumes no further growth) will be 240,000. If you understand the algorithms for projections, then you will also know that the actual sales will likely be much higher. What I want to know is whether there are any venture capitalists that are currently seeking a growing, stable, operation? In the past, I have sold sites to VC's but never an operation of this magnitude, potential, or quantity of intellectual capital. While I am certainly in no hurry to find an interested VC, I would like to know if they exist. Any thoughts or references would be appreciated.
