Venezuela sending cheap oil to Massachusetts

After helping Boston and Bronx, Venezuela is helping the low income families by selling cheap oil to Massachusetts (40% below market price).

Venezuela sending cheap oil to Massachusetts

I wonder why the US administration friends in oil industry can not do the same and instead try to maximize their profit from this war?

Venezuela is a communist state? Completely false. Where did you get that idea...

Chavez might be antagonistic to the US---but that doesnt make him a commie.

Chavez might be a dangerous demagogue---but that doesnt make him a commie.

    Absolutely clueless.

Wow, very cool. Maybe he is trying to show the us people that bush is the real asshole in this situation. On the otherhand, if a place like Iran sent us cheap oil, they would still be assholes. =x

Venezuela is not a communist state.

    Venezuela is a federal republic.

BTW, the United States is the largest export partner (55.6%).

The relations between the US and Venezuela has been deteriorating of late and President Chavez is convinced that we are going to try and take him out of office.

BTW, elections are coming up and Chavez is losing support. The poor are somewhat with him, but the rich have been taking their money out of the country. Even though there is no strong opponent, he (and Venezuela) is still in a very difficult situation.

I think Chavez is doing a good thing by sending cheap oil to Mass. I don't know how anyone here can think that is a bad idea when he is saving Americans money by selling them oil cheaper than these other companies will.

I can see why our government wants to take him out. Anyone who doesn't bow down to the corrupt neocons and enslave their own people is an enemy.

You never hear about Pat Robertson talking about having Vincente Fox of Mexico killed, but he wants Chaven taken down. The reason for that is because Vincente Fox is doing what the US wants him to do: enslave his people.

Venezuela is politically and economically unstable. President Chavez has called President Bush a madman and told P.M Blair to go to hell. He is more concerned with increasing his alliances with Iran and China. He also loves to make idle threats, such as his recent threat to close down all Venezuelan owned refineries in the United States.

I am not sure what Pat Robertson has to do with anything. He is not a Political Science scholar nor a powerful actor in U.S. foreign policy. He's just another person in the world who largely speaks without knowledge, especially in the matter of world politics.

Bottom line, the United States does not need facilitate military action in Venezuela. If we want to hurt Venezuela enough to get Chavez ousted, we can do so through trade and economic means.

I'm not a democrat or a liberal, but I have to agree with Chavez on that. Bush and Blair are mad men. Blair is trying to push a national ID card in Britain, and Bush............well, I think that is obvious.

I know Pat Robertson has no real political power, but the only reason why I think the Bush administration scolded him was because he said what they were already thinking to the public.

I agree that the US shouldn't attack Venezuela. If Chavez wants to sell us cheap oil, I'll gladly buy it!

When Americans buy cheap oil from Venezuela, everyone wins except the big oil monopolies. Americans get oil for cheap, and Venezuela makes money that they can use to improve their economy. Nothing wrong with that in my book.
