I got 2 questions, they are pretty simple and stright foward. Just wanted to get some other peoples opinion. On a vendors sales page should there be a link for the affiliate resources? And what does everyone think about email capture boxes on the sales page?

    1) yes
    2) IMO try to avoid them
because a) it's a leak b) the affiliates dont like them (mostly) c) might postpone the purchase of a guy that was ready to purchase instead he filled the form and went away saying "let's get back to this after I received the free email bonus" and he never returns...
but there can be positive effects also, still i think the negatives outweigh them...

Yes put a link for affiliate resoureces, just make it tiny and bury it in amongst links for contact page, privacy policy etc.

As for email opt-in, if done properly it actually improves conversion. However, so many affiliates are uninformed on this that having an opt-in will actually drive affiliates away. Sad but true.
