Vendor or Affiliate?

Personally I love creating products rather than marketing other peoples due to the sense of ownership - I liken it to either working for a company or creating your own, being your own boss, even though it's not exactly the same in this sense.

I always had a problem with Adsense in the same way I did with my old boss.. me putting in the leg-work and not seeing all the fruits of my labor. I'm dipping my foot in to the affiliate marketing industry with Azoogleads but I'm looking at it from the standpoint of 'Right, let's see how this all works, which offers do well, and then come in later as a vendor, then the affiliate pool can promote my offers'.

I've just finished writing a blog entry which affiliates or vendors may wish to chew over or discuss. Read it here then have your say.

    Cheers,

    Pete

Of course being a vendor is more profitable, but hard to achieve compared to an affiliate.

    Pete,

Interesting article and subject. I like your point about running a few affiliate offers to see which ones convert. Seems to me that is a great way to find out what people are buying in a niche before you spend the time and money actually developing a product for them. If you can find a product that is selling, then develop your own much improved product, it should do very well.
