20K is the current BIN. That is less then a year, as 3K times 12 is 36K.

    Over a year: 3k x 12 = 36k
    Over 6 months: 3k x 6 = 18k
    Over 1 month: 3k x 3 = 9k
    Over 10 days: 3k x 2 = 6k + RICK

    Nice valuation formulas uh!

    Nice site,
But I'd like to know why a $40 script on a 2 months old domain with 0 PR, 0 backlinks is worth $20k
when with $20k we can make 100 of the same sites with even more games, with the exact same ranking and content,
just by buying the exact same script with the same games included

If you had created a site that had created an income for your family would you give it away for 2 month's rev?

Typically what i have seen as thumbrule, a site should be priced at six months earnings, all other things being equal. Since there is only one month's history and site is too new, launched nov 2005, price seems a bit higher

My general rule of thumb: if a site is less than 6 months old, only offer up to the amount of revenue proven during that 6 months. In this case, it sounds like 3k would be a reasonable offer. And I would even be wary at that price since the site is so new. I've seen sites make 8k one month and drop to 1k the next month due to factors completely out of the webmasters controls.

Are the yahoo ads relevant? Sorry, but I don't know anything about Yahoo ads. When I visted the site, I saw "Labor Law" and "Social Security Disability" ads, which are probably fairly high PPC terms...

Google ads are relevant, based on the site... why would Yahoo put Social Security Disability ads on a game website geared towards teenagers?

Sorry, just looks strange to me...

    No kidding.

I'm going to start creating $40 clone sites, pointing 50k in co-op weight at them, and then selling them after a few months.

One question I have - and it goes to all the game sites for sale is: How can a site earn so much from YPN when the ads are not targetted close to what the site is about. Medical malpractice, Personal injury attorney, incorporation, etc... can not get clicks from the target audience which is mostly teens.

Maybe it is the YPN ads with arcade game images next to them at the top/center of the main page?

They have no limit on ads per page, unlike google :) I love Yahoo's program cause of this.

I would say the myspace crowd is more "teens to mid 30s". It is one of the hottest website online. And that is the crowd that is playing these games

That's mostly YPN earnings. If he's not filtering international traffic from seeing those ads, he's probably going to a) get removed from YPN and b) his earnings will have all international earnings removed from it (which could still leave him with some nice change).

YPN's current rates won't last forever, but definitely make the most of it while it's like it is.
